Women at the Altar: A Look at the Women’s Ordination Movement
by Rev. Fr. Eugen Rissling
Recently I was confronted with some videos on Youtube, which presented a report about “ordinations of women to the priesthood” that took place not so long ago. The reporter was a man officially introduced as a “Catholic bishop,” whose name, incidentally, was not mentioned. It cannot therefore be ruled out that he is neither Catholic nor a validly ordained bishop. But that is not the topic of this article. A woman in bishop’s attire also appeared, who “administered the ordinations.”...

The Limits of Papal Power: Contrasting Traditional Catholic Teaching with the Recognize-and-Resist Distortion
Reprinted with permission from the NovusOrdoWatch.org, April 9, 2024
The semi-traditionalist pundits of our day love to pontificate (pardon the pun) on the limits of the Papacy. The Pope can’t just do whatever he pleases, they (rightly) point out and thereby (wrongly) feel vindicated in their theologically disastrous position of recognizing Jorge Bergoglio as Pope (Francis), while nevertheless resisting his magisterium, his acts of governance, his canonizations, and his liturgical prescriptions where they believe these deviate from what he ought to be teaching and legislating....

Excommunicated! The Life and Thoughts of Rev. Fr. Joaquin Sáenz (Part 6)
by Antonio Rius Facius, Translated by Rev. Fr. Ephrem Cordova, CMRI
At the end of the school year, Fr. Sáenz organized an excursion to Yucatán with a group of boys from the Congregation, of which he was, as we pointed out before, the director. In the city of Mérida, on January 23, 1952, he overturned the car in which he was traveling with some of his companions. He received a blow to the head and a fracture in his right foot, which was immediately put in a cast. He also felt a strong pain in the lumbar region that, for the moment, they could not diagnose. Fr. Palomera, upon learning of the accident, moved to Mérida. Don Joaquín felt somewhat relieved of his responsibility towards young people, especially those who were injured. ...

Pornography: The Ruin of the Soul
by Rev. Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
St. Alphonsus said that there are more souls in Hell because of sins against the sixth and ninth commandments than for any other reason. St. Jerome stated that nine out of ten who are in Hell are there because of sins against purity. “All deliberate sins against the sacred power of creation, the power of sex, are MORTAL SINS. Only married people are allowed to use… [this] passion… The following are MORTAL SINS: deliberate impure thoughts, immodest touching, petting, necking, indecent dress and dancing, impure talk and kisses for the purpose of arousing passion, sins against nature, masturbation, impure shows [and lust of the eyes]...

Who Is She Ascends So High?
by Rev. Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
In the deep seas there are areas where the bottom sinks into great unknowns. They are called Sea Pits. We do not know what lies under them, and for many years they were shrouded in mystery. We thought there was nothing in there — the pressure of the sea is so great, that life could not exist there. Only recently, have we come to find out that miles under the oceans, there are many things there, even beautiful forms of life, which we could have never fathomed. Yet most of what lies in there remains a mystery to us....

The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Eucharist
It is beneficial to daily call to mind St. Bernard’s words to the effect that all our graces come to us through Mary. She is our Mediatrix with God in every way. This is clearly evidenced by many of the sacred writers, such as St. Bernard and St. Louis de Montfort, as well as numerous Roman Pontiffs. In fact, shortly before he died, Pope Pius XII was busy with research for the purpose of eventually proclaiming Mary to be the Mediatrix of All Graces in a formal manner. As St. Louis Marie de Montfort teaches in his book True Devotion to Mary, God desires us to come to Him by the same channel through which He came to us, that is, through Mary. This is a guiding principle of Total Consecration to Mary and the habitual practice of her devotees...
