No. 175: Spiritual Aids for Confraternity Members (April, May, June)
April
- Daily extra prayer: Pray the Fatima Prayers in reparation to the Blessed Sacrament.
- Intention: Pray and make extra sacrifices for our bishops and priests, and for many holy vocations to the priesthood.
- April is the month of the Blessed Sacrament. Make extra visits to the Blessed Sacrament, and spend at least a few minutes adoring Our Lord; make acts of love, contrition and reparation. Share your sorrows and joys with Him, and thank Him for all the graces He has given you, especially that of the true Faith. If you are not able to visit a church, make the visit in spirit.
- Renew your Total Consecration to the Blessed Virgin on April 28, the feast of St. Louis Marie de Montfort.
- Suggested books for spiritual reading: All For Jesus (Faber), The Mass and The Christian Life (Gibergues), My Ideal, Jesus, Son of Mary (Neubert), Saints and Sinners of Calvary (Rengers); St. Catherine of Siena (Curtayne)
May
- Daily extra prayer: Little Crown of Our Lady
- Intention: Pray for the apostolate of Catholic education, for all the graces needed by both teachers and students, and especially for Catholic children who are unable to attend a Catholic school.
- May is the month dedicated in a special way to our Blessed Mother. Honor her throughout this month by making a May shrine in your home. Pray the daily Rosary and all family prayers around it. Crown the statue of Our Lady each day, and teach your children to honor her by bringing flowers to place before the statue, and especially by trying to honor her in all their actions.
- Resolve to give our Blessed Mother a special gift this month by focusing your efforts on imitating one of her virtues.
- Bring flowers to place before Our Lady’s altar at church.

June
- Daily extra prayer: Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus or another prayer to the Sacred Heart.
- Intention: Pray for the spiritual success of the annual retreats of the Religious of Mary Immaculate Queen, and especially for the Sisters who will be received as novices or renew their vows.
- June is the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Say often during the day, “O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee,” or another short prayer to the Sacred Heart.
- Read or re-read the pamphlet, Enthronement to the Sacred Heart in the Home. Take time to consider whether there is anything in your home or family life which you know He would wish you to change; do whatever is necessary to change it. Have your home enthroned to the Sacred Heart of Jesus — or if it is already enthroned, renew the Enthronement with your entire family on the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
