Our Lady of Fatima
Dear friends in Our Lady,
Praised be Jesus and Mary. How beautiful is the month of May! We honor Our Lady daily this month with flowers and prayers before our May altars, for she is our beloved Mother and Queen. Let us — each of us — not fail to give her the honor she so richly deserves.
The Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen, as you well know, is dedicated to preserving the truths of our Faith and spreading the message of Fatima. We also practice and promote the total consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as outlined by St. Louis Marie de Montfort. The saint tells us that this devotion is a unique grace to help us persevere in these difficult times.
This consecration or “holy slavery” is not a consecration that can be made and then forgotten; rather, it must be lived. We members of this religious congregation renew our Marian consecration annually on the feast of the Queenship, which is also the titular feast of our congregation. Each of the religious begins the prayers in preparation for this solemn renewal on the feast of St. Louis Marie on April 28th. We encourage you to renew your consecration annually as well.
We also ask that you remember our religious in your prayers this coming month. All of us will make an annual retreat. On June 27 our Sisters will have their annual vows ceremony, with three Sisters making profession of final vows. Also, the priests and Brothers will hold our General Chapter — something that takes place every six years. So we ask your prayers that the Holy Ghost, through His spouse Mary, will guide our deliberations.
We are small in numbers, but Our Lady wishes to use us as instruments of the grace of God, to spread the Faith in these times. Please pray for us and for many more vocations, for the harvest is great, but the laborers are few.
In the service of Jesus and Mary
