The Reign of Mary

Our Lady of LaSalette
Dear friends in Our Lady,
Praised be Jesus and Mary. Twenty-five years a bishop! The 24th of this past September marked the silver jubilee of consecration of His Excellency, Bishop Mark Pivarunas, by Bishop Moises Carmona y Rivera. Twenty-five years of labors for souls, of ordinations, confirmations, Masses and pastoral ministry. Thanks be to God for the many graces granted to souls through the labors of our bishop, in fulfillment of his episcopal motto: “To lay down one’s life for the sheep.” May God deign to grant him many more years of labor for souls — ad multos annos! We celebrated the anniversary of His Excellency’s consecration at last month’s Fatima Conference, and we encourage all our readers to remember him in your prayers.
In contrast to the graces and blessings granted to souls through the ministry of faithful Catholic bishops and priests, there stands in stark contrast the continuing heresy of Jorge Bergoglio and his Conciliar Church. The statements that come from his pen and mouth are truly shocking to the eyes and ears of Catholics. In this issue of our magazine we highlight his recent statements defiling the sanctity of marriage. In addition, we present an excellent summary of his many heretical statements over the past several years, seen in comparison to true Church teaching. It is hard to understand that any Catholic would continue to consider him a member of the Church, must less its visible head.
On a more positive note, we also share with you a pilgrimage to Fatima and other shrines of Portugal that our religious Sisters were privileged to make this past summer. A generous convent benefactor insisted on sending the Sisters on a trip; providentially, they had been praying that it might be possible to visit Fatima, as we prepare for the centenary of Our Lady’s apparitions. (Actually, this year does mark the 100th anniversary of the first apparitions — those of the Angel of Portugal — which prepared the children for the vision of Our Blessed Mother.)
Dear friends, let us continue to console the Hearts of Jesus and Mary by our lives of prayer, penance, modesty, consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and fidelity in living our Catholic Faith. As Our Lady herself tells us, her Immaculate Heart will be our refuge, and the way that will lead us to God.
In the service of Jesus and Mary
