Why the “Short” Consecration Form Cannot Possibly Suffice
by Patrick Henry Omlor (adapted from his longer work of the same title)
...Very many great theologians, including saints, popes and doctors of the Church, have held that the mere words “This is the chalice of My Blood” are insufficient for the validity of the consecration of the wine and that the entire form (including “for you and for many unto the remission of sins”) is absolutely essential...
Answering the Objections to the Sedevacantist Position
by the Most Rev. Mark A. Pivarunas, CMRI
Objection I: Pope Pius XII lifted all ecclesiastical penalties during the conclave to elect the pope. So even if the Vatican II popes were heretics before their elections, they would still be validly elected. Answer: Heretics and schismatics are barred by DIVINE LAW from the election to the Papal Office. Pope Pius XII lifted ecclesiastical penalties; he did not, would not, could not dispense from Divine Law. Proof: A. Institutiones Iuris Canonici [1950], Coronata— “Appointment to the Office of the Primacy — What is required by DIVINE LAW for this appointment...”
Is the Latin Mass Back?
by Rev. Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
What are we to think of Benedict XVI’s recent document bringing back the Latin Mass? Perhaps your friends or relatives have already said to you: “Well, are you happy now? You got your Latin Mass back. Isn’t that what you’ve been so upset about all these years?” Well, yes...and no....

His action came as no surprise. As a Cardinal, Joseph Ratzinger had already spoken favorably about the old Mass many times. Here are some salient provisions of the Motu Proprio and his accompanying letter:...
The Human Stem Cell Controversy
By Lucille Grimm, Ed.D., R.N.
...In reality, there exists a more general field of stem cell research than just embryonic stem cell research. Another, and possibly a more important area, is the research into the usefulness of adult stem cells. Adult stem cells can be harvested without destroying life as we shall see is not the case with embryonic stem cells....
Featured CMRI Parish: Chapels in Eastern Colorado
Eastern Colorado has been a spiritual haven for the true Faith and the traditional Mass and sacraments for many years. Although the early pioneers, Fr. Francis Fenton, Fr. Placid White, and Fr. Burton Fraser, who resisted the errors of Vatican II, have now passed away, their work is continued by a “younger generation” of priests. Every weekend priests of Mater Dei Seminary in Omaha travel by car to provide the Mass and the sacraments to traditional Catholic faithful ....
The Enthronement of the Home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
by Rev. Fr. Gregory Drahman, CMRI
Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is nothing new: it comes to us from the pages of Sacred Scripture itself. The significance of St. Longinus’ piercing Christ’s side on Mt. Calvary makes us reflect on the mystery of the love of Our Lord’s Sacred Heart....
Conformity to the Will of God
by Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
The closest and most far-reaching union that can exist is that between two wills; we strive to make our wills one with the person whom we love. A self-seeking person seeks only to further his own interests. ...
